Hi Nick, The Parish Plan has nothing whatsoever to do wih the by-pass. The parish Plan has everything to do with how the village would like to move toward the future.Nothing is ever perfect and we (the parish council) and the parish plan committee would like to find out from everyone in the village their ideas, visions, ideals etc for the next five, ten, fifty - even perhaps hundred years. That is planning for the future and making the very best with what we have got and what we can achieve. The by-pass has now become a Strategic Route for the whole of this area. Whether we like it or not, we will have very little say on where it goes or where we would like it to go. Where the money comes from is another story. By producing the parish plan, we can aim to become a Quality Parish Council with much more wallop as to what is going to happen here. It also brings with it a little more money to do things for the village - which there are many things we would like to do! Also it gives more grist to the elbow when applying for grants to improve on what we have got. We want positive thinking for this village not negativity. I hope this allays your concerns, Nick. Let's try and become the Movers and Shakers for the future!!!!! Many thanks for your interest! June Harrison
