Ladies - a very warm welcome awaits you at Leeds WI. We meet every second Thursday in the month in Leeds Memorial Hall at 7.30pm and following the business part of the meeting we enjoy refreshments followed by either a speaker or other form of entertainment. We try and arrange a varied programme throughout the year and members are also able to join in other events organised either locally or by the West Kent Federation of WIs. The speaker at the July meeting was Mr Geoff White who brought along slides
showing views of Kent and East Sussex from the air. There is not a meeting in
August however Jane Crate has organised a supper to which all members are
invited. Several members are attending a flower arranging demonstration at
Bearsted WI Hall on 18th August. The next meeting is on Thursday 9th September at 7.30pm and this will be an informal meeting and ideas for activities for the forthcoming year are to be discussed. The photograph albums and scrapbook will also be on display. Another visit to the Romney Marsh Churches has been requested and it has also been suggested that an evening visit to Stoneacre followed by supper would be appreciated. We are having a cake and produce stall at the Cardwell Pavilion, Hollingbourne on Saturday 18th September as part of Hollingbourne WI's Village Safari.
